The changing scenes of Christmas

di Priscilla Pajdo del December 16, 2021

TORONTO - Christmas, the most wonderful time of year! Whether you observe Christmas or any other holiday for that matter, it is hard not to be impressed by the festive displays and celebrations this time of year.

If the cold weather and gloomy skies dampen your mood this season, just pass through any neighbourhood, your feelings may brighten with the dazzling display of lights.

If you are looking to “lift your spirits”, look no further than the neighbour down the street. The display may literally “pop up” before your eyes in the form of larger than life inflatables.

Perhaps you may be searching for that special something to soothe your soul. You may find it at the local church in the form of the traditional nativity scene. For Christians, the image of Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus laying in a manger is the most powerful symbol at Christmas. Afterall, "Jesus is the reason for the season".
