Hypocrites or gamblers?

Two weeks ago, trustees in the Toronto Catholic District school Board, publicly acknowledged the primacy of the archbishop on religious matters that define the Catholicity of the Catholic schools system. They swore solemnly to abide by his guidance. Last night, at a Board meeting, they reversed themselves.

Three trustees recused themselves; one voted against; eight in favour of a motion that  recognized the primacy of  the LGBTQ over Church. In so doing, Trustees rallied around Maria Rizzo, whose legitimacy as a Catholic school elector and whose position as trustee has recently come under investigation.

They are hoping the Cardinal will stay silent. Merry Christmas!
