MISSISSAUGA – At the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), enthusiasm for and interest in the Italian language and in Italy’s rich culture continue to grow. The Italian Club of Erindale (ICE) and the Department of Language Studies’ Italian program work together to offer students and the community at large a variety of Italian cultural events which are, moreover, tied to the program’s academic missions. The first event, a free screening of the comedy “Se Dio vuole,” (starring Alessandro Gassman and Marco Giallini) takes place this Thursday, November 10th, at 7:30pm (approximately 90 minutes).

It also highlights UTM’s newest courses on the subject: “Laughter Is the Best Medicine: Italian Cinematic Comedies and Comedians, Then and Now and Contemporary Italian Cinema.” Reservations are not necessary, but for additional information feel free to email: italianplay.utm@utoronto.ca Film will be shown in Italian with English subtitles.
